[U: Available] Radiant Silvergun disappears from the Nintendo eShop

Update: November 20m 2022 at 12:40 PM EST – Publisher Live Wire has confirmed that Radiant Silvergun is back on the Nintendo eShop and available for purchase! It looks like its removal was due to a mixup with the game’s original release date and their desire to show it off first at the 2022 Tokyo Game Show.

Just a day after being officially announced during the Nintendo Direct livestream, classic bullet hell game Radiant Silvergun has now been mysteriously removed from the eShop. Not only that, but the game’s English trailer has also been set to private on YouTube.

If you were interested in picking up the game, however, there’s still hope. The game’s publisher, Live Wire, acknowledged the situation on Twitter and said that they would “respond immediately” (something they have yet to do!) They also mention that they will let everyone know when the game becomes available for purchase again.

Needless to say, the comments on this tweet are full of upset and angry gamers, and rightfully so! The game should not have been rushed, and even if it was, it should not have been pulled from the store after the live event. It’s an absolute disaster, to say the least.

Radiant Silvergun’s eShop page is currently unavailable!

Currently, the Radiant Silvergun is not available for purchase in North America. We will respond immediately. We will let you know when it becomes available for purchase.

Live Wire PR on Twitter

The most likely reason for the reversal of the decision to publish Radiant Silvergun to Switch at this time is because those who got their hands on it the moment it dropped said there were sound playback pitch and volume issues, poorly looping music, and odd transparency effects with the gameplay.

You can technically change the region of your eShop login to purchase it, but I would recommend sitting tight and waiting for the developers to fix up all of the strange bugs and re-release it proper. Did you pick the game up before it went offline? If so, let me know in the comments what you think of it so far and if you see any inherent problems with the gameplay, sound or graphics!
