Three classic SEGA Genesis games join the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack lineup

It’s no secret that Nintendo has been milking its online service for all its worth, leaving millions of paying subscribers to continue emptying their wallets every month and year without so much as a few new games for most of its platforms without large spans of time between.

With its Nintendo Direct, it’s changed that quite a bit by announcing that GoldenEye 007 would be coming to its Expansion Pack complete with online multiplayer. I mean, it’s not a lot, but it’s certainly the game everyone has been clamoring for. Still, if you’d like to get some retro games on your Switch, you could opt for Tales of Symphonia Remastered, the upcoming Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe, or Radiant Silvergun (when it returns to the eShop)

New Nintendo Switch Online Sega Genesis games!

Super early this morning though, Nintendo of America dropped a surprise on its Twitter account with the release of three new Sega Genesis games for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers. The ever-popular “Earthworm Jim”, “Beyond Oasis” (which has a cult following), and the hidden gem “Alisia Dragoon” are all can all now be played with just a few clicks!

If you grew up with any of these three games, let me know in the comments what you loved most about them. I personally played a crap ton of Earthworm Jim, but I never got a chance to enjoy Beyond Oasis, even though it looks really appealing to my taste. Happy gaming, friends!
